We all have our little rituals to get us ready for the work week. Some of us exercise, others meditate and some, like the doggos in this list, enjoy a sweet moment of indulgence by devouring their favorite foods. The rituals and habits we form are the bedrock of our lives. They are the things that we lean on when we are feeling weak, they are the things we hold onto when we are feeling scared. No matter what, they will always be there for us. But while some are more helpful than others, it is the less helpful amongst them that are more inviting shall we say. After all, who would not prefer to eat a croissant rather than go for a run? We’ve all been there, you are innocently going to town on your favorite treat. Completely unaware of your surroundings as you fill your face full of sugary goodness. Only to suddenly feel the gaze of something or someone upon you, quietly judging you. This of course ruins the whole event of gorging yourself without judgement on your favorite treat causing you to look up at the gazer with a look of fear and regret. But we would like to believe that the moment the phone was put away, cup consumption returned to normal and all was furgiven. At least we hope so, it is not all that easy to forgive someone who has wronged you like that.

This is what is known as ‘lost in the sauce’ in feline circles. A common expression used to describe a cat who has gorged themselves on their favorite treat and finds themselves in all sorts of strange states thanks to the elation of having stuffed their faces with food. Commonly causing them to be found ‘stuck’ in very similar situations as this Shiba seems to have found itself in above. But he seems to be rather satisfied with his new cup snout, at least so long as it retains the remnants of flavor and smell that his long gone pup cup left behind.
